Offline basics and packaged products
The local catalogue contains 247 USDA SR Legacy foods and 58 reference household measures. Results appear as you type. Search for both the food and its preparation, such as cooked white rice or raw potato.
Packaged brands and products are looked up through Open Food Facts using an Internet connection. Search by product and brand or scan a barcode. A record may be incomplete or outdated: check the package identity and its label.
Amounts, servings and missing data
Enter how much you ate in the record’s unit: grams or millilitres. Household measures keep the weight of the specific reference. If you weigh your food, enter the measured value. The app does not assume one millilitre weighs one gram.
If the product is missing, enter its label manually. A blank nutrient field means unknown, rather than a confirmed zero. Missing nutrients are not filled using a similar product.
Reusing meals and keeping your diary
Recent meals and favourites let you repeat an entry and review the amount before saving. Different preparations, amounts and recipe versions keep their identity. Unfinished drafts remain on that device for 24 hours.
Your diary is stored on your device. To change phones, choose and restore a backup: the optional account backup or an encrypted backup with a code. Signing in does not enable backups by itself, and photos are not included.
