AI photo calorie tracking: how to review your meal

A photo can suggest the foods in a meal and approximate amounts. Mi Panza asks you to review these suggestions before saving: an image alone does not establish weight or every ingredient.

From a photo to your diary

The beta meal analyser identifies components and suggests grams when it can estimate them. Nutrition is calculated from the references for the foods selected. Recognising a food, estimating its amount and calculating its nutrients are separate steps.

Check each food name, whether it is raw or cooked, and how much you ate. Change a food, enter grams or choose a household measure when the exact reference offers one. A cup of cooked rice does not apply to dry rice.

Correcting foods and amounts

If a suggestion does not match your meal, search for a replacement by name. When switching between references with the same unit, your entered amount is retained for review. Grams are not automatically converted to millilitres.

Check oils, sauces and missing ingredients too. An unknown amount stays pending. A complete total and saving remain blocked while components are unresolved or amounts are invalid.

Before saving

Once all suggestions are resolved, review the whole meal and confirm its foods and amounts. You can halve or double every ingredient if that describes how much you ate; another confirmation is then required.

Photo accuracy is still being evaluated. We do not guarantee an accuracy percentage or describe estimated weights as measured. For packaged food, use its barcode or check its label. Photo handling is explained in the privacy policy.
